AnGR - NordicNET workshop

Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NordGen) and AnGr-NordicNET organize a workshop on effects of climate change on primary industries in the Nordic Countries, with a main focus on animal genetic resources and future farm animal breeding strategies within adaptation and mitigation issues.

Experts from the five Nordic countries have set up a Nordic research network, called AnGr-NordicNet, which contributes towards developing a Nordic knowledge-base for policy making and research strategies for the conservation, utilization and investigation of animal genetic resources.

NordGen Farm Animals
coordinates the work on promoting the real value of farm animal genetic resources (AnGr), in the Nordic countries. We contribute to categorization, conservation and sustainable utilization of farm animal breeds in the Nordic countries. We also promote Nordic competance and views on the value of AnGr, within the Nordic countries as well as internationally.
