Too few foals born

The centre is now urging for efforts to be made to ensure future use and development of the four national breeds. Particularly the Doele horse and the Nordland/Lyngs horse have as few as 150 offspring per year. The two other breeds, the Fjord horse and the Norwegian trotter have larger populations, but even here we observe a decreasing number of born foals.
