Genetic Resources in protected areas

The conference is organized by the Nordic Genetic Resource Center, which is a part of the Nordic Council of Ministers.

The aim of the conference is threefold:
To share information and experiences regarding the subjects in the title.
To find constructive ways of forwarding the work of conservation and sustainable use of genetic resources in nature.
To bridge and find ways for fruitful cooperation between different countries and different sectors.

In order to achieve these three goals we want to invite both scientists and practitioners of different kinds from different countries in our area (i.e. northern Europe) to participate.

To make room for plenty of constructive discussions we have dedicated one day of the conference to workshops. For the same reason we have also decided to limit the number of participants. We therefore encourage early registration.
