Nordic research on climate change

Experts from the five Nordic countries have established a Nordic Research Network on Animal Genetic Resources in the Adaptation to Climate Change, AnGR-NordicNET. The project will provide a knowledge base for policy making for the conservation, utilization and investigation of animal genetic resources within adaptation and mitigation issues.

The project is financed by the Nordic Council of Ministers and NordForsk and runs for three years under the research program "Impacts of Climate Change in Nordic Primary Industries". Project is lead by Prof. Theo Meuwissen from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Administrative leader is Dr. Anne Præbel from NordGen Farm Animals.
