Activities in 2012Our activities will be based on NordGens strategies on conservation and sustainable use of forest resources. The main purpose of NordGen Forest is to help establish the best possible Nordic forests for the future. We serve as a meeting place for researchers, managers and practicians in the fields of forest genetics, seeds, plants and methods for regeneration. During 2012 we will host a conference in Finland and two thematic days in Sweden and Iceland. We will coordinate the project ”Cooperation in breeding of Norway spruce”. This project which will establish and coordinate a network of tree breeding institutions working with spruce in the Baltic Sea region.
