NordGen Farm Animals has assisted FAO with the new FAO Guidelines “Innovations in cryoconservation of animal genetic resources”. A series of ten webinars based on the chapters in the draft FAO Guidelines will be arranged. The eighth webinar will take place on 12th of December at 17:00 (GMT+1).

The webinars will take place on Teams, hosted by the FAO in collaboration with NordGen Farm Animals. The eighth webinar will be titled “Preservation, Collection, Use, and Quality evaluation of Gonadal Tissues, Diploid, Germ, and Somatic Cells” and the content will be based on Section 6 in the FAO guidelines.

Speakers in this webinar will include Jon Oatley (Washington State University) and Phil Purdy (National Animal Germplasm Program, USDA-ARS) from the United States and Kriszti Liptói (Institute for Small AnimaI Research and Co-ordination Centre for Gene Conservation) from Hungary.
