The first of September, the project EUCLEG was launched with NordGen as one of its participants. Two of the project aims is to reduce our dependency on protein imports and to improve the diversification within forage and grain legumes.

The project is also to investigate which new possibilities there are to use forage as human food. The work conducted within EUCLEG will include, among other things, development of searchable databases, evaluation of genetic resourcces in multi-site trials and DNA-markers for genomic selection.

The partnership gathered in EUCLEG consists of public institutes and private companies of Europe and China.
