Privacy Policy

On this page you can read more about in which situations NordGen collects and processes personal information in different situations. Our aim is to make sure that you are always informed about how we process your data and feel comfortable about contacting us if you have any questions or complaints. NordGen’s is processing all personal data according to Swedish law and the European privacy law which entered into force in 2018.

NordGen never collects personal information unless you have provided us with such information upon registration or participation in an event etc. We do not collect sensitive personal information.

By contacting us at gdpr@nordgen.org you can:

  • access the personal information we process about you, and you can raise an objection to us processing it.
  • update the personal information we store about you.
  • request the deletion of the personal data we store about you. If you wish to have your personal information deleted, we will delete all information that we are not obligated by law to save.
  • withdraw your consent. This means that processing will be terminated unless we are obligated by law to process personal information.

We process personal data in the following situations:

Events
NordGen uses the web-based service wordpress to handle sign-ups for events at our website. We process your information on name, e-mail, title, company. Data will not be disclosed unless you have accepted to share your name and organization with the other participants at the event.

Newsletters and contact forms
When you agree to receive newsletters or complete a contact form at our website, we store your personal data on name and e-mail. Data will not be disclosed. NordGen uses the web-based service Mailchimp to handle subscription flows. Mailchimp stores the data in accordance with the European GDPR. You can unsubscribe to newsletters or change your contact information at the bottom of each newsletter.

Job applications
NordGen uses the web-based service of the Nordic Council of Ministers to handle applications. Applications are processed responsibly and confidentially. If you apply for a job with us, we will process the personal data you have given us. The data is not disclosed to others.

Personal data about business partners and customers in the webshop
NordGen processes general contact information about our business partners and customers in the webshop in order to fulfill our contractual obligations and provide the services promised. The data is processed securely and confidentially and is not disclosed to others.
