- NordGen Farm Animals
  NordGen Farm Animals is a service and knowledge center working to conserve and promote a sustainable management of the diversity of animal genetic resources found in the Nordic region.
- NordGen Forest
  NordGen Forest is a meeting place that brings together researchers, breeders, managers and others who work within the forest sector with the aim to enable better cooperation and promote genetic diversity in the Nordic forests.
- NordGen Plants
  NordGen Plants is responsible for the Nordic seed collection and operates within several different projects aiming at securing the genetic diversity among our crops.
- Seed and Potato Requests
  Each year, NordGen distributes more than 10 000 seed samples to researchers, plant breeders and other stakeholders. Hobby growers can also order seed samples.
- The Nordic Public-Private Partnership (PPP)
  NordGen is the secretariat for the Nordic PPP-collaboration where public and private stakeholders join forces to develop the Nordic agriculture.
- Svalbard Global Seed Vault
  Svalbard Global Seed Vault is the largest backup facility for the world's crop diversity. NordGen is responsible for the seed handling in the Seed Vault.

Farmer’s Pride’s International Conference in Portugal

Location: Tróia, Portugal

Date: 21-24 june 2021

The European network called Farmer’s Pride, which NordGen is part of, is arranging the international conference “ENSURING DIVERSITY FOR FOOD AND AGRICULTURE Plant genetic resources – in nature and on-farm” in TRÓIA, PORTUGAL. The conference has been postponed several times due to COVID-19 but is now planned to 21–24 June 2021.

The international conference is an opportunity to:

share knowledge and perspectives
promote the in situ conservation and sustainable use of plant genetic resources in legislative and governance frameworks
scale up progress in Europe and other regions with a view to creating a global initiative to safeguard diversity for food and agriculture in the future.

The conference is arranged by Farmer’s Pride, in association with the European Association for Research on Plant Breeding – Genetic Resources Section, and the European Cooperative Programme for Plant Genetic Resources
Hosted by the Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária – Banco Português de Germoplasma Vegetal
